COLLARS x JACKROSE

Now I’ve never been one for cosplay, nor have I ever been fond of the idea of dressing like my favorite characters.  So when exactly does dorky fandom cross the border into cool attire?  When Jackrose collaborates with and adapts the style of characters from the manga series, ‘WORST’ by Hiroshi Takahashi.

That’s right, Takahashi has teamed up with the infamous badboy brand Jackrose to create a line of clothes resembling the attire of his delinquent high school characters.  How fitting, seeing as while Takahashi may only really be known for ‘CROWS’ and ‘WORST’ (both of which take place in the same ‘universe’ so to speak), the two series are ridiculously popular with males ages 14 to 40 here in Japan.  It’s actually safe to call his work some of the most popular in Japan.

While the style itself is not my particular taste, and I myself am not really into manga— I can definitely see the appeal.  The characters are tough and brutal badasses and the look is equivilent.  If you’re gonna be a proud fan, this is certainly a way to be one without sacrificing any pride or dignity.
