I’m really broke but it’s hard to resist buying this right now …
This week in “collaborations I didn’t see coming,” Tornado Mart has teamed up with Grasshopper Manufacturing to produce a capsule collection based on EA’s latest video game, Shadows of the Damned, that will allow you to basically cosplay as the main character.

Japanese gyaru-o and onii-kei megastore Silver Bullet has launched their “visual rock site”, which is really just a lot of pictures of visual-kei bands in Silver Bullet clothing. SCREW, ViViD and Lolita 23q show up to show off Silver Bullet’s latest wares from Civarize, Cavaria, Jury Black, 5th, ElCid and Diavlo.
It’s worth noting that this is a pretty good example of just how easy it is to make cheap clothes look good if you have access to beautiful models and professional photography. Nonetheless, if you’re looking for some affordable rock-n-roll threads, you can do worse than checking this out.
Tokyo Telephone takes an inside look at the new Buffalo Bobs Hair salon at Men’s 109.
Buffalo Bobs continue in their quest to become the singular most dominant force in Japanese men’s street fashion with their latest venture: Buffalo Bobs Hair – a hair and nail salon in the basement of 109 Mens in Shibuya. They have come such a long way since “Buffalo Bobs – Used Vintage Clothing” opened up in 1995 on the bustling street in Ura-Harajukuthat would also be home to the other key players in the 109-2 revolution such as Fuga, Civarise and Luv Maison. Amongst those brands’ flagships that would play such a big part in my own formative years in Japanese fashion, only Rhydeal andJackrose now remain on that street, the rest having moved to Shibuya. The reason? Onii-Kei got big fast and it seemed to quite simply be exactly what Japanese men wanted at the time.

The coolest of them has to be the Freia jeans, a black distressed pair with python skin showing through the tears. And at ¥24,000, they’re an affordable luxury. Check them out at FUGA’s official web shop.
