(Fall 2013 item – will be in stock June)
These boots are from Maison Martin Margiela, around $1000, definitely putting them out of the realm of a budget shopper. Some similar options:
- Frye — Oliver Inside Zip — $200
- Fuga — Greatful Days — ¥30,240
- Padrone x Midwest — Bespoke Back Zip Boots — ¥34,650
- 5351 Pour les Hommes — Side Gore Short Boot — ¥37,800
- Attack the Mind 7 — Backzip Boots — ¥40,950
I don’t think it’s possible to get a really good pair of men’s boots for less than $200, so this is the lowest price point I have included. I tried to find a balance between good quality and price. Even though the last pair is quite expensive, it’s about half the price of the Margielas and easily better quality.
It’s better to have one great pair of shoes than ten crappy pairs!
Also available in brown and originally ¥25,200. Take advantage of the now 30% percent price cut!
If I hadn’t just bought a pair of black boots I’d be all over these. Real leather from their Takumi line, good engineer boot design, and vibram soles.
alfredoBANNISTER Collection Line — Razy Snake x Mouton Boots — ¥189,000
Looks like they were made for my tastes. Unfortunately, not made for my wallet at over $2000 …
These are so beautiful.
Do you know what they call the boots in Japan where they have furs that you can wear it or not with the boots?! I don't know if that was confusing but I'm pretty sure they have those there. But i don't know what they call it.
Hello and thank you!
I don’t believe there is a specific name for this type of boot. It’s just a boot with removable fur. A lot of Japanese sites will refer to items with two modes of wearing as “2WAY”, but other than that, I don’t think there’s a specific classification for this type of item!
MINX Inner Heel Lace Boots - ¥7,245
Also available in oak and camel. A delightful choice for all the mori girls out there!
